The ANNEX is dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness who have Furry Family Members (FAMs), ensuring that both they and their beloved cats and dogs receive essential care. Many unhoused individuals would rather remain homeless than surrender their FAMs, yet most shelters do not accept animals. Recognizing this challenge, our program offers cat and dog food supplies, vaccinations, spay & neuter services, education, and referral assistance, while also helping their human companions find pet-friendly housing options through partnership agencies.

The ANNEX understands the critical emotional support FAMs provide to their humans, especially those who are elderly, disabled, or facing difficult circumstances. To keep these companions together, we not only provide vital resources but also collaborate with housing specialists to secure placements in pet-friendly housing.

Application Process: To apply for assistance through The ANNEX, individuals experiencing homelessness with Furry Family Members (FAMs) must obtain a referral letter from a homeless outreach program case worker. They can then fill out an application form available on our website or contact our office directly for further assistance.

Eligibility Requirements: To maintain eligibility for The ANNEX’s services, participants must ensure their FAMs remain up-to-date on vaccinations, with vaccination services provided through The ANNEX.
